Basement Gallery and Weekend Gallery
US/UK Artists' Exchange Program

In addition to the Basement Gallery, Mike and Jane Brumfield are also the Directors of the Weekend Gallery in Hastings on the English South Coast. This facilitates the opportunity to exchange work and curate transatlantic projects.

We have initiated a gallery partnership and exchange program offering increased opportunities for artists both side of the pond. The first exhibition in this program showed the work of Boise-based artist, Bill Carman paired with this Hastings-based artist, Len Shelley at the Weekend Galery in January 2010. This was followed by a printmaking exhibition at the Basement Gallery showing both UK and US printmakers.

The Basement Gallery currently holds a selection of paintings by UK artists Jane Andrews, Janet Waring and Charlotte Snook. Meanwhile, Boise-based artist, Ben Wilson is preparing for a solo exhibition at the Weekend Gallery in September.
